With neighborhood interaction at its core, the design blurs the line between interior and exterior, turning the elongated space into a shared and symbiotic living environment for the community.
A true sense of 'neighborhood' needs no deliberate staging — it arises through yielded gaps where spontaneity can naturally take root.
With a coffee in hand, social encounters break free from the confines of seating.
By opening up the space, the design releases the city’s mood outward, sharing the aroma of fresh brews, terrazzo-edged thresholds, warm lighting, and greenery with the pedestrian flow.
This is a community hub grown from the seams of the urban fabric.
At the entrance, an old utility pole extends inward, becoming the visual spine of a 16-seat communal area, where strings of lights flicker like the city’s restless pulse.
The cool tones of concrete and vintage white tiles accentuate a serene pastel blue palette, while green-and-white striped custom seating evokes the shifting shadows of street trees.
A replica utility pole traverses the interior, with string lights suspended like stars. Hanging tags carry personal song requests; interchangeable light-boxes act as fluid conversation frames, while vintage speakers softly echo timeless tunes. The terrazzo floor flows with the textures of passing time.
The central steel bar also serves as an occasional DJ booth. Guests write their playlists on hanging tags, while melodies seep from retro speakers above.
Standing bar, private booths, and the DJ island interweave moments of morning coffee, midday meals, and evening cocktails — each moment has a scene of its own.
